A Technical Expo on Good Construction Practices commenced on 31.08.2024 at Dr.N.G.P. Institute of Technology, organized by the Department of Civil Engineering in collaboration with Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India), Coimbatore Centre and UltraTech Cement.
The Expo was inaugurated by Er. R. Karana Boopathy, Chairman BuildMat 2025, presided by Dr.Thavamani D. Palaniswami, Secretary, Dr. N.G.P. Institute of Technology, V. V. Subbaiah, Regional Head Marketing, UltraTech Cement Ltd. and Dr.S.U.Prabha, Principal, NGP iTECH delivered the felicitation address.
Dr.K.Murali, professor and Head, Department of Civil engineering, welcomed the gathering and B.Vignesh Kumar, Assistant Professor delivered the vote of thanks.
The student expo is a signature event of civil engineering department, aimed at providing a platform for students to demonstrate their creativity, technical knowledge and problem solving abilities.
Civil Engineering students exhibited the construction stages of a residential building, materials, quality control aspects, etc. in 18 stalls to explore the ideas for construction of “Your Dream Home”.
The stall was inaugurated by the Chairman, BuildMat 2025. The Consulting and Practicing engineers from various forums, students from other colleges and publics visited the stalls at a large.
