In a significant recognition of medical excellence, Dr. R. Balamurugan, a senior diabetes specialist at Kovai Diabetes Speciality Center and Hospitals, has been awarded the prestigious Special Medical Star Award by The Hindu Tamil Daily, recently.
The award, recommended by the Indian Medical Association (IMA), was presented during a ceremony held at the IMA Hall on Church Road, Coimbatore.
The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest R. Sakkarapani, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies who presented the award.
The event featured Dr. Abulhassan, State President IMA, Dr. Karthikprabhu, State Secretary, Dr. Gowrisankar, Finance Secretary, and Sankar and Asokan, Hindu Tamil.
