The Fine Arts Club of Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology (SRIT) celebrated the Onam Celebrations recently at the College premises.

The campus was filled with vibrant colours and joyous spirit as students, faculty, and staff came together to celebrate the traditional festival of Onam. The event aimed to promote cultural heritage and unity among the college community.

The celebration began with the traditional ‘Pookalam’ and the ‘Thiruvathara’ dance which has deep cultural and religious significance, symbolizing happiness, devotion, and prosperity.

Teams of students showcased their creativity and artistic skills by designing elaborate flower arrangements. The vibrant Pookalam at the centre of the campus served as a beautiful symbol of Kerala’s rich cultural heritage.

The day continued with cultural performances, along with various musical performances that set the tone for the festive occasion. The celebrations concluded with cultural activities that brought both students and staff together in friendly competition.
