The Red Ribbon Club (RRC), National Service Scheme (NSS) and Youth Red Cross (YRC) units of Dr.N.G.P Institute of Technology (NGPiTech) organised a Blood Donation Camp held recently, in association with Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH).
Students and faculty members numbering more than 150 volunteered to donate their blood and 128 units of blood were collected from the volunteers who were found fit medically for blood donation.
The Medical Team from CMC hospital conveyed that the number of units donated was noticeably high in their experience, highly appreciated the spirit of the donors and praised the meticulous conduct of the camp by student volunteers, under the guidance of faculty advisors. All the donors were encouraged with an appreciation certificate.
The camp was really a wonderful experience for both faculty members and the students as it gave great satisfaction to them to donate the blood, which will be useful for the needy ones, to save their lives.
