To create awareness about women’s safety, the Rotaract Club of Coimbatore (RI District 3201), in association with Sri Shakthi College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, attempted a record for the India Book of Records by forming a human chain on 26th April 2025.

Participants joined hands to form the phrase “STAND FOR HER”, emphasising the message that everyone in society must come together to protect women. The event aimed to gain recognition in the India Book of Records.

More than 3,000 students, Rotaractors, entrepreneurs, and businesspeople took part in the event.

As part of the initiative, an app featuring police helpline numbers was launched to enhance women’s safety. Over 3,000 people signed a pledge and added their signatures to a mega banner.
