V-Guard Industries strengthened its commitment to inclusive and sustainable development across India through a diverse portfolio of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives during FY 2025–26.
Focusing on key areas such as education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, women’s empowerment, and community infrastructure, the company implemented 56 CSR projects across 11 states. These initiatives positively impacted nearly 78,000 beneficiaries, with a total investment of Rs. 7.13 crore.
“At V-Guard, our approach to CSR goes beyond individual interventions; our aim is to build ecosystems that enable long-term sustainable change. Whether it is strengthening grassroots education, improving access to healthcare, or empowering communities through skill development, our efforts are guided by the belief that inclusive growth must be both consistent and community-led,” said Reenaa Mithun Chittilappilly, Director, V-Guard Industries.
As part of its initiatives in Tamil Nadu, V-Guard strengthened infrastructure in government schools under its CSR programme, Namma Palli Thittam, aligned with the Government of Tamil Nadu’s Namma School Namma Ooru Palli (NSNOP) initiative.
The programme encourages community participation and CSR partnerships to improve infrastructure and create safer, more supportive learning environments for students across the state.
Highlighting V-Guard’s commitment to education, Reenaa Mithun Chittilappilly, Director, V-Guard Industries said, “At V-Guard, we believe that every child deserves a safe and inspiring place to learn. Through our support for Namma Palli Thittam, we are proud to enhance school infrastructure and help create brighter opportunities for students across Tamil Nadu.”
Under the initiative, the Government Panchayat Union Elementary School, Karayampalayam, near the V-Guard Electromechanical Division in Coimbatore, which serves around 150 students, received a new 607 sq. ft. classroom to address classroom shortages.
Similarly, Panchayat Union Middle School, Rangasamuthiram, near the V-Guard Wires and Cables Division at K.G. Chavadi, Coimbatore, received a 735 sq. ft. classroom, benefiting nearly 300 students.
Both classroom projects were implemented through the Government of Tamil Nadu’s Namma Palli Thittam initiative.
V-Guard also improved sanitation infrastructure in schools located near its Solar Division in Perundurai, Erode. Government Model Higher Secondary School, Seenapuram, with 844 students, and Government High School, Mugasipidariyur, Chennimalai, with 305 students, received newly constructed toilet blocks to improve hygiene and create better learning conditions for students.
V-Guard invested a total of Rs. 55 lakh towards these school infrastructure projects.
Under its Build India initiatives in Tamil Nadu, V-Guard implemented a drinking water project at Pichanur and undertook pond renovation work at J.J. Nagar near its Chavadi factory operations.
The pond restoration project focused on groundwater recharge, environmental sustainability, and support for local agriculture.
Additionally, the company provided a specially designed electric pushcart vehicle to the Mavuthampathi Panchayat to improve accessibility and efficiency in garbage collection across the locality.
Through these comprehensive efforts across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Odisha, Gujarat, West Bengal, and Haryana, V-Guard translated its corporate values into meaningful community-driven action during FY 2025–26, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive and sustainable development across India.
