The Virtual Rescue Force (VRF), in association with ELCE Medical Foundation, Coimbatore, recently dispatched essential relief materials to flood-affected areas of Assam through Family Care.
The initiative was undertaken to support communities in Assam affected by floods triggered by the overflow of rivers following the recent flash floods in Nepal.
The relief materials dispatched as part of the initiative included 250 kg of phenyl concentrate, 250 kg of bleaching powder, 1,000 masks, 10 kg of washing powder and essential medicines.
The materials will be received by volunteers in Assam and distributed among people in the affected areas based on their immediate needs. The relief initiative aims to support sanitation, hygiene and healthcare requirements in communities recovering from the floods.
The dispatching team included ELCE Medical Foundation and VRF founders Dr. Rajan and Dr. Vidhya Rajan, along with Family Care’s Dr. Renuka and SVHP’s Anitha.
