The Department of Zoology (PG) at PSG College of Arts & Science (PSGCAS) organised a significant Entrepreneurship Awareness Session titled “Entrepreneurship Scopes & Opportunities for Sustainable Innovative Productions: Choose Eco over Ego; Let Plastic Go – Back to Yellow Bags.” recently.

The session aims to foster awareness and promote sustainable practices among students.

The program commenced with the inauguration of the Electric Vehicle (EV) initiative, led by Brindha, Principal, and Kannaian, Secretary, who raised the green flag to symbolize the college’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions and advocating for sustainable transportation.

As part of this initiative, six electric vehicles from the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) were showcased on campus, accompanied by the distribution of pamphlets promoting the “Meendum Manjappai” campaign for a plastic-free environment.

In the presidential address, Brindha highlighted the pressing issue of plastic pollution and urged the adoption of cloth bags (Manjappai) as a viable alternative. Kannaian further emphasized the need for eco-friendly practices in his felicitation address. The program concluded with the students forming a pattern of “Yellow Bag-PSG” on the ground with their yellow bags.
