Ganga College of Nursing recently conducted a Student Development Program aimed at equipping students with essential leadership, communication, problem-solving, and self-management skills for personal and professional success.

The event saw an enthusiastic participation of 900 students along with faculty members from the institution.

The program commenced with a welcome address by Rama Rajasekaran, Trustee of Ganga College of Nursing. Following this, Esther Rakel, Dean of the institution, introduced the distinguished chief guest, D. Srinivasan, Managing Director of Sree Annapoorna Group, Coimbatore.

In his special address, Srinivasan inspired the students by highlighting the importance of leadership attributes, effective communication, problem-solving, and self-management—key skills necessary for both personal and professional development.

Drawing from his four-decade-long journey in the food industry, he shared insights into his entrepreneurial success, detailing his experiences in managing and expanding a well-established food chain.

Furthermore, Srinivasan emphasized the future prospects for nursing and clinical nutrition students, particularly their critical role in enhancing dietary nutrition for hospital patients. He elaborated on the growing importance of nutrition in healthcare, urging students to develop their skills in this field to contribute effectively to patient well-being.

He also stressed the significance of decision-making abilities, problem-solving aptitude, and resilience in professional settings, encouraging students to cultivate a leadership mindset that would help them excel in their careers.
