Carmel Garden Matriculation Higher Secondary School will celebrate its 62nd Annual Day today from 4.30 p.m. onwards at the school ground.
Kandasami, Founder and Managing Partner of Kandasami & Associates, Chennai, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Thomas Aquinas, Bishop of Coimbatore and President of the school, will also grace the event.
As part of the celebrations, six distinguished alumni will be honoured with the “The Jewel of Carmel Award 2026” for their achievements in their respective fields. The awardees are Ravichandran Purushothaman (1981), President of Danfoss India; Dr. Prakash Ramamoorthy (1982), Distinguished Vascular Surgeon; Krishna Moorthy Sivalingam (1984), Gopalakrishnan Institute Chair Professor at IIT Madras; Godwin Maria Visuvasam (1992), Engineer, Entrepreneur and Community Leader; Mohanraj (1996), Entrepreneur and Business Builder; and Hari Hara Sudhan (2001), Executive Director of ABT and Director across Sakthi Group.
The Annual Day celebrations will be spearheaded by D. Nandakumar, President of the Alumni Association, and Rajkumar, Secretary, under the guidance of Arokia Thadayus, Correspondent and Principal of the school.
