Coimbatore International Airport facilitates connectivity to various domestic destinations in addition to 2 international territories such as Sharjah and Singapore.
With the Iran-Israel conflict getting tensed up, aviation fuel prices have shot up recently. Hence to manage the situation, airline operators in India have decided to reduce services across the country.
Sources shared that the domestic flight services provided by various operators have been reduced from 28 to 22. The scenario is expected to be the same until September, and airlines believe that post September the services are likely to return to normalcy.
Meanwhile, the temporarily halted Coimbatore to Abu Dhabi service by Indigo is expected to resume from August 15. This will take the number of international service from the current figure 2 to 3.
