Crafts Council of Tamilnadu (CCTN) presents Srishti 2024, a three-day exclusive curated sale at Suguna Kalyana Mandapam from 19th September to 21st September between 10.30 am to 8.00 pm. The event began today with a grand inauguration.
This year one can find 68 labels in the above mentioned categories and over 6 stalls with different types of food to fuel the shoppers of Coimbatore.
‘Srishti‘– an exclusively curated sale by the Executive committee & members of CCTN, has been Coimbatore’s most popular one for the last 27 years. Srishti showcases the finest collection of Designers, Craftepreneurs and labels that work closely with the artisans & weavers directly, and celebrate the indigenous weaves and craftsmanship of India.
Textiles, Saris, Apparel for Men, Women & children, precious & semi-precious Jewellery, Home décor, home linen and lifestyle accessories are part of the lineup.
Crafts Council of Tamil Nadu is an NGO in its 37th year of existence, working for the upliftment of Crafts & Artisans in Tamil Nadu. It is affiliated to the Crafts Council of India, Chennai, which in turn is affiliated to the World Crafts Council.
‘Srishti’ is now a legacy of over two decades that is most looked forward to by the people of Coimbatore. It is also one of the main sources of funds to support CCTN’s activities all through the year. The proceeds from ‘Srishti’ are used to subsidise the costs for the Artisans in the annual Crafts Bazaar at Coimbatore.
Now we know, that when one shops at ‘Srishti’, it is for a good cause.
CCTN also requests shoppers to bring their bags and thus do their bit to the environment and avoid single use plastics/bags.
