To highlight the importance of voluntary blood donation, Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, operating under SNR Sons Charitable Trust, organized a blood donation camp as a part of its World Blood Donor Day activities on Saturday.
Sundar Ramakrishnan, Managing Trustee, SNR Sons Charitable Trust formally inaugurated the camp and emphasized the vital role of voluntary blood donation in strengthening healthcare services and saving countless lives. Addressing the gathering, he appreciated the selfless contribution of blood donors and encouraged the public, students, employees, and social organizations to actively participate in such noble initiatives.
The event witnessed active participation from more than 100 members of the public and students. The hospital’s Blood Centre team ensured a safe and comfortable donation process by adhering to all quality and safety protocols.
Ramkumar, Chief Executive Officer; Mahesh Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer from SNR Sons Charitable Trust and Dr.S.Rajagopal, Medical Director; Dr.S.Alagappan Medical Superintendent, Sri Ramakrishna Hospital also took part.
Speaking on the occasion, hospital officials reiterated that a single unit of donated blood has the potential to save multiple lives and encouraged healthy individuals to make blood donation a regular practice.
