The Department of Other Languages of Hindusthan College of Arts and Science recently celebrated the Onam festival under the title ‘Pooppoli’.
The celebration was inaugurated by Managing Trustee Sarasuwathi Khannaiyann. Secretary Priya and Principal Ponnusamy extended their felicitations and conveyed their Onam wishes to the students and faculty.
The celebration featured a traditional Chendamelam performance, sponsored by Manoj Manayathodi, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The event was organised under the leadership of Ramesh Kumar, Head, Department of Other Languages, along with faculty members Sreeba Senthil Kumar (French), Sarla Jangir (Hindi), Maneesha Sreekumar (Malayalam) and Sherin (French), with the support of student coordinators.
A colourful Pookkalam, cultural programmes and students dressed in traditional attire added charm to the celebrations.
