Coimbatore is set to experience warmer conditions this week as “second summer” temperatures settle in. Afternoon temperatures across the city are expected to hover between 34°C and 35°C, though mornings will remain pleasant.
Relief is on the horizon, however, as convective rains are forecast to develop from tomorrow. The northern parts of the city can expect scattered showers between Tuesday and Thursday, which should help shave off a degree or two during peak daytime heat.
Towards the end of the week, rainfall activity is likely to expand, bringing widespread showers across the city limits as well as the broader district areas.
