Rotary Coimbatore Central, in association with the Dana Blood Center of Indian Red Cross Society, Coimbatore, organized its annual Blood Donation Camp as part of its ongoing commitment to humanitarian service and community welfare.
The camp, held at Kavundampalayam, witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of Rotary Coimbatore Central and students of the Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Central from KPR College of Arts and Science and KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, who came forward to donate blood and support this life-saving initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, Club President Rtn. Manojkumar said, “We had 75 donors today. It is heartening to see the number of donors growing every year, reflecting the Rotary ideal of Service Above Self. Our club theme, ‘Together We Rise,’ has inspired greater community involvement, especially among the student fraternity, encouraging them to become active contributors to society through meaningful service.”
Rotary Coimbatore Central expressed its sincere appreciation to the Management of KPR Educational Institutions as the majority of the blood donation came from the student volunteers of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology and KPR College of Arts and Science. 75 units of blood were donated through the camp.
