As a way to support City Police in their crime-prevention efforts in Kuniamuthur region, a federation of 11 residents associations from the locality donated 15 CCTV cameras to the police department recently.

‘Annamanaiyaker’ Federation of Residents’ Associations donated the cameras worth Rs. 2.5 lakh under the guidance of M. Abdul Hakkim, President of the Annamanaiyaker Federation of Residents’ Associations.

Mahesh Kumar, Assistant Commissioner of Police, and Shanmugasundaram, Inspector of Police, Kuniamuthur officially commenced the operation of the CCTV systems.

During the event, the police officials interacted with residents and highlighted the importance of CCTV surveillance in preventing thefts, improving public safety, and strengthening community-police cooperation. The event was successfully coordinated by K. Devarajan, Secretary of the Federation and Association office bearers, residents, and members of the public participated in large numbers and made the event a grand success.

The residents expressed their confidence that the CCTV network would play a vital role in preventing crimes, improving security, and ensuring a safer living environment for all. The Federation conveyed its sincere gratitude to all residents and well-wishers who contributed towards making this important community project a reality. Hakkim shared that they are planning to install CCTV Cameras in all areas in Kuniyamuthur.
