Are you a person of has coffee in the morning? A recent publication of the European Heart Journal says, drinking coffee in the morning offers more health benefits than consuming it gradually over the day.

The study suggests that morning coffee drinkers may have a lower risk of dying from heart disease compared to those who drink coffee all day.

The study, conducted by Dr. Lu Qi, Director of the Tulane University Obesity Research Center, analyzed data from more than 40,000 adults who participated in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (1999–2018) in the United States.

Over an average follow-up period of nearly 10 years, 4,295 participants passed away, including 1,268 deaths attributed to cardiovascular disease.

The study also says that those who drink coffee in the morning, drink less coffee in the day and were more likely to consume tea compared to all-day drinkers.

The findings reveal:

Morning coffee drinkers had a 16% lower risk of death from any cause.

They also had a 31% lower risk of dying from heart disease compared to non-coffee drinkers.

All-day coffee drinkers did not show the same reduced risk.
