Siruthuli recently held a stakeholder meeting to discuss collaborative approaches for the rejuvenation of Singanallur Lake.
The meeting brought together Sri Giri Prasad, MLA for Singanallur; Katta Ravi Teja, Commissioner of the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation; Vanitha Mohan, Managing Trustee of Siruthuli; representatives of PSG Institutions; government officials; members of the Fishermen Association; farmers; local stakeholders; and Siruthuli members.
The discussions focused on assessing the current condition of the lake, identifying key challenges, exploring sustainable solutions, improving water quality, restoring ecological balance, and ensuring the long-term conservation and maintenance of this important urban waterbody.
The meeting underscored the importance of collective action, scientific approaches, and community participation in the restoration and protection of Singanallur Lake.
