NGP Arts and Science College recently conducted CORP QUEST 2025, a mega inter-college meet organised by The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), Coimbatore Chapter, in association with the Department of Commerce with a Corporate Secretaryship CA and Commerce Business Analytics.
The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest Rajesh Duraisamy, Joint Managing Director, Salzer Electronics Ltd., Vice Chairman, Confederation of India Industry and the Guest of Honour Thavamani D Palanisamy, Secretary of the College.
CS Vijay Mahindhran, Chairman of the ICSI Coimbatore Chapter, welcomed the gathering. The felicitation address was given by Muthusamy, Director, NGP Institute of Technology.
The Chief Guest and the Judge for the corporate quiz Sivakumaran, evaluated the performance of the participants and awarded the winners with cash prizes.
After the quiz, he congratulated all the participants and acknowledged their hard work and enthusiasm, regardless of the outcome.
The Chief Guest and the Judge for the paper presentation Duraisamy, evaluated the articles and Paper presentation of various participants.
After each presentation, he briefly acknowledged the strengths of the paper and presentation. His feedback was crucial for the participants’ growth and announced the top participants and awarded them with cash prizes.
The Chief Guests and Judges for the short film, CS Eswaramurthi and CS Palanikumaran from the ICSI, competition, highlighted the importance of creative expression and how short films can impact culture, society and even drive change. (CS refers Company Secretary).
They acknowledged the hard work of all the filmmakers and presented a cash reward.
The Chief Guests and the Judges for the mock board meeting/AGM, Murugesan, CS Singaravelan, CS Tamizhanban and Vasudevan evaluated the participants’ performance based on key leadership, communication, and decision-making skills while providing constructive feedback. After the meeting, winners were awarded with a cash prize.
The Chief Guest delivered the speech on The Mega Cap concept in a Corporate Secretaryship course for a large-scale, comprehensive project or capstone that challenges students to apply their skills in corporate governance, compliance, legal management, and strategic advisory.
Further, he said, it could also refer to caps on enrollment or a focus on large-scale corporations about corporate secretaryship.
Annamalai, Vice President, The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore concluded with a valedictory session and he highlighted the achievements and lessons learned during the events of inter college meet Classroom to Board room.
The event was attended by more than 200 people.
