The Department of Mathematics, Kongunadu Arts and Science College organized the 8th International Conference on Current Scenario in Pure and Applied Mathematics, recently.

Kokilavani, Convenor of the conference welcomed the gathering. Lokesha, Professor, Department of Studies in Mathematics, Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Bellary, Karnataka released the conference proceedings consisting of 83 Abstracts and delivered the Keynote Address. In his address, he highly appreciated the organizers for organizing the international conference consecutively for the 8th year.

Sangeetha, Principal of the College and Paulsamy, Director, Aruchami Research Foundation offered the felicitation. Venkatachalam, the Organizing Secretary of the conference proposed the vote of thanks for the inaugural session.

1st Technical Session

Following the inaugural session, Patil, Professor of Mathematics, Karnatak University, Dharwad, Karnataka delivered a talk on the topic ‘Applications of Fuzzy Binary Soft sets in MCDM Problems’.

In his lecture, he explained the origin of the Fuzzy Binary Soft set theory and discussed its advantages. He further explained various algorithms applied to MCDM problems with an interesting real-life example.

2nd Technical Session

In the 2nd Technical session, Mahadevan, Professor of Mathematics, The Gandhigram Rural Institute,  Dindigul delivered a talk on the topic ‘Revolutionizing Real-life Applications through Graph Theory: From Medical Innovations to Digital Solutions’.

In his lecture, he illustrated the role of graph modelling in the visualization of human anatomy. He also stressed the importance of graph theory in real-life problems like communication and biological networks.

3rd Technical Session

Lokesha, delivered a talk on the topic ‘Exploring the amalgamation of Topological indices with Machine Learning’ in the 3rd Technical session. In his lecture, he briefed about the emergence of Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning and its types.

He listed down the role of Mathematics, especially topology and graph theory to solve the various real-world problems with the aid of machine learning. He emphasized the essentiality of software like Python, R, Julia, Java, TensorFlow, Pytorch etc., to simplify the problem-solving techniques.

4th Technical Session

In the 4th technical session, Boregowda, Associate Professor, DOSR in Mathematics, Tumkur University, Karnataka delivered a talk on the topic ‘Some novel investigations on action graphs and their applications’, in which he explained the various types of graphs.

He has so far guided more than 300 students to clear the CSIR NET Examination. During his lecture, he provided the key points to remember that would help one to clear the CSIR NET examination.

Final Session

In the final session of the day, around 60 participants presented their papers in research domains like graph theory, topology, differential equations, fuzzy theory, mathematical modelling etc., in 7 parallel sessions.

Faculty members from eminent Institutions served as Chairpersons for the paper presentation session and in each session, one presenter was awarded the Best Paper Award.

2nd Day

On the 2nd day of the conference, 5 eminent resource persons from Indonesia, Turkey, Spain and Italy delivered their lectures.

1st Session

Dafik Professor of Mathematics and Dean of Sciences Chairman of CGANT Research Group University of Jember, Indonesia handled the first session and spoke on the topic ‘Super Antimagicness of Hypergraph and Its Application for Symmetric Encryption.’

2nd Session

In the second session, Ismail Naci Cangul, a Professor of Mathematics from Bursa Uludag University, Bursa, Turkey, addressed the topic of ‘Total Idempotent Graphs.’

3rd Session

Haci Mehmet Baskonus, Professor, Department of Mathematics and Science Education Faculty of Education, Harran University, Sanliurfa, Turkey dealt with the third session and delivered the talk on ‘Why we need to study the epidemiological models?’

4th Session

In the fourth session, Raúl M. Falcón, Associate Professor, Department of Applied Mathematics, University of Seville, Spain spoke on the title, ‘A new graphical authentication scheme based on Latin squares.’

Final Session

Giorgio Nordo, Researcher and Aggregate Professor MIFT Department Messina University, Italy handled the final session and delivered a talk on the topic ‘Some Computational Approaches in Neutrosophic Theory.’

More than 100 participants from various parts of the country attended the conference and benefitted. Budding researchers and students had an opportunity to interact with the resource persons and clarified their suggestions.

This International Conference has paved the way for Mathematics researchers across the globe to discuss and share their knowledge, said the organisers.
