Internet Society Foundation and Krivin International Play School and Academy jointly organised a student skill development program in ‘Designing & Deploying Computer Networks (DDCN) at #6 Hotels, Coimbatore on 16th August 2024.

Dr. N. Sudha Bhuvaneswari, President, Internet Society, Chennai Chapter and Pravina Bharath, Director, Krivin Academy are the Co-ordinators of the DDCN Programme.

Srikar Konda from Hyderabad, Gokulraj and Sanjay from Coimbatore are the tutors for the programme.

Dr. N. Sudha Bhuvaneswari stated, “The Internet Society is a non-profit organization working towards making the Internet accessible for everyone. We have chosen students from all over India for our program, which is the first of its kind in the country. We provide hands-on training to the students to prepare them for the industry.

The program began in May with a selection process, followed by a 5-month online course. Subsequently, there will be face-to-face training. Currently, a 5-day boot camp is taking place in Coimbatore, with participants from various locations. A similar program also took place in Hyderabad. Following the boot camp, the participants will be industry-ready and are expected to graduate in November.”

Pravina Bharath mentioned that the DDCN program is a collaboration between the Internet Society Foundation and Krivin Academy. It is open to final-year students of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computer degrees from various regions. The program offers networking training by tutors from Hyderabad, followed by an internship with the Southern Railway, Coimbatore and Jio Internet Service Provider, Coimbatore. After completing the internship, all students will have the opportunity to be placed in Jio. Participants from colleges in Coimbatore, Chennai, and other states are in attendance.

The program is fully sponsored and overseen by the Internet Society Foundation. They have provided training with equipment worth 10000, including routers and toolkits. The Boot camp began on August 12 and will conclude on August 18, with the graduation scheduled for November 19.

On August 16, 2024, a notable event took place where key figures from prominent organizations gathered to offer career opportunities to students who completed the DDCN program in Coimbatore

Sreedharan, Station Manager of Southern Railway, and Satish, Deputy Station Manager of Southern Railway in Coimbatore, were present. They expressed their willingness to offer internships to students who have successfully completed the DDCN program.

Krivin Academy, in collaboration with the Internet Society Foundation, has conducted an online inter-school competition on Global Encryption day to create cyber crime awareness posters for school children. And the best posters were awarded certificates from Srikar, Cisco certified professional from Hyderabad during the 4th day of the bootcamp.

Jio Service Providers in Ganapathy, announced that job appointment letters would be provided to all students who have completed the DDCN program facilitated by the Internet Society Foundation.
