As a Platinum Sponsor, ELGi is exhibiting a comprehensive range of compressed air systems and accessories at Hall B, Booth No. 2.

Addressing members of the press and media at the venue today, Varadaraj highlighted the energy-efficient compressors on display at the expo and outlined ELGi’s future growth plans and strategic vision.

Sharing details on the products exhibited, he said, “We have exhibited many new products. These compressors will have lower operating expenditure compared to other compressors, as that is the aim with which we develop our products. Our compressors are among the most energy-efficient in the world and have the lowest energy consumption.”

Explaining the strategy to achieve its goals, he said one of the key focus areas is to stay closer to customers by interacting with them more frequently, visiting global customers, and building partnerships with them.

On sustainability, Varadaraj noted that most of ELGi’s compressors are water and oil injected, and that nearly 70% of the energy consumed by the company comes from renewable sources, while the remaining 30% is derived from fossil fuels. He said the company plans to increase its renewable energy usage from 70% to 90% in the coming years by further reducing dependence on fossil fuels.

As part of its expansion plans, ELGi is investing ₹600 crore in Coimbatore and has more plans for the region. He further shared that the company is relocating its operations from Singanallur to Kinathukadavu.

Sharing details about the company’s revenue mix, Varadaraj said that approximately 50% of ELGi’s revenue is generated from India, while the remaining 50% comes from international markets. Of the overseas revenue, the United States contributes nearly 90%.

He noted that the company recorded strong growth last year, with the U.S. market playing a vital role in its performance. He added that ELGi is currently growing at around 3% and is targeting a growth rate of 4% to 5% in the coming years.

On global and industry challenges, he said that challenges are an inevitable part of business and that the company remains prepared to respond to them swiftly and effectively.

“The portfolio showcased by ELGi at INTEC 2026 reflects our continued commitment to developing compressed air solutions that help customers improve productivity while reducing energy consumption and total cost of ownership. As industries increasingly focus on sustainability, lifecycle value, and operational resilience, customer expectations are evolving beyond equipment performance toward intelligent systems that deliver measurable business outcomes.
