The 14th Annual Convocation Ceremony of EASA College of Engineering and Technology was held in a grand manner at the college auditorium on Sunday.
The ceremony was inaugurated and presided over by Sujatha, Chairperson of EASA College of Engineering and Technology, who delivered the presidential address. She subsequently presented degrees to students who had completed their undergraduate programmes, including B.E. and B.Tech., and postgraduate programmes, including M.E. and M.B.A., and congratulated them on their achievements.
Secretary Ajith and Correspondent Aadarsh were present as special dignitaries. Principal Robert Kennedy delivered the welcome address and presented the annual report.
Jothi Sekaran, Senior Engineering Lead, IBM, Bengaluru, was the chief guest and delivered the special address.
During the ceremony, Shahana, a student of M.E. Structural Engineering who secured the 8th rank at Anna University, Chennai, was awarded a cash prize of ₹25,000 in recognition of her achievement.
Prizes, shields, certificates and degrees were also presented to students who secured the first rank in their respective departments at the college level in the B.E. and B.Tech. programmes.
The awardees were Subathra Devi – B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering; Dhanalakshmi – B.Tech. Artificial Intelligence and Data Science; Sabarinathan – B.E. Computer Science and Engineering; Ramsheena – B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering; Rahul – B.E. Mechanical Engineering; Vijayabharathi – B.Tech. Information Technology; and Amudheswaran – B.Tech. Petroleum Engineering.
In the postgraduate programmes, prizes, shields, certificates and degrees were also presented to students who secured the first rank in their respective programmes. The awardees were Anagha – M.B.A.; Sarath – M.E. Computer Science and Engineering; Amala Sharaf – M.E. Construction Engineering and Management; and Theertha Sabu – M.E. Structural Engineering.
A large number of students, parents and faculty members participated in the convocation ceremony.
