Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS) recently organised ‘CAMBISTA’, the valedictory function of its student association.

Akshaya Meenakshi, Event Vice-Chairperson for Non-Academic Activities, delivered the welcome address.

Valarmathi, Principal and CEO of VIMS, presided over the function. In her address, she appreciated the students for their achievements in research, publications and various academic activities. She encouraged them to take on greater responsibilities and continuously develop their leadership and professional skills.

Emphasising the importance of adaptability in today’s dynamic business environment, she said organisations value individuals who are willing to learn, adapt and grow. She also advised students to be responsible citizens by caring for themselves, their families and society.

Manju Riya Palanisamy, Founder and CEO of Studio Forge, Coimbatore, delivered the chief guest address. She expressed her appreciation for the VIMS students who had joined Studio Forge as full-time employees. Urging students to make the best use of available opportunities, she quoted, “If you are not updated, you are outdated.” She added that companies today expect employees to contribute beyond the use of artificial intelligence and demonstrate continuous learning and innovation.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies and Studio Forge to facilitate collaboration in placements, internships and consultancy activities.

Later, Umamaheswari, Professor, announced the student awards and certifications. Awards and certificates were presented under 20 categories recognising excellence in academics and sports. Balaganesh, Vice-Chairperson for Academic Activities of CAMBISTA, proposed the vote of thanks.
