At the Annual General Meeting of the Auditors’ Association of Southern India (TAASI), CA. V. Gopalakrishnan took over as President of the Association for the new term recently.
The new office-bearers of TAASI are CA. Kamesh, Vice President; CA. Mahesh Prabhu, Secretary; CA. Kasi Viswanathan, Treasurer; and CA. S. A. Gopalakrishnan, Joint Secretary.
The new team assumes office after CA. Venkatesh, during which TAASI undertook several significant initiatives aimed at strengthening the profession and empowering the next generation of students.
During his tenure, CA. Venkatesh led several programmes focused on professional development, knowledge enhancement and capacity building for members. The Association also placed considerable emphasis on student development and educational initiatives, providing opportunities for young students to enhance their knowledge and skills while encouraging greater engagement with the accountancy profession.
His two-term tenure also saw TAASI strengthen its role as a platform for professional learning, networking and the development of future professionals.
On assuming office, CA. V. Gopalakrishnan, along with the newly elected office-bearers, expressed their commitment to carrying forward the Association’s initiatives and further expanding its professional and student-oriented activities.
The new leadership will build on TAASI’s long-standing legacy and continue its efforts towards the advancement of the auditing and accountancy profession, as well as the development of students and young professionals.
