Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS) organised the inaugural function of the CAMBISTA Students’ Association on Wednesday.
The Management Students’ Association serves as a professional forum that provides students with opportunities to develop their attitudes, enhance their talents and skills, and actively engage in community service initiatives through various clubs and cells.
Akshaya Meenakshi, Past Vice Chairperson of CAMBISTA Students’ Association, delivered the welcome address.
Valarmathi, Principal/CEO, Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies, formally installed the newly elected office bearers of the CAMBISTA Students’ Association and delivered the presidential address.
She congratulated the newly installed office bearers and wished them success in leading the Association’s activities during the forthcoming academic year.
She emphasised the importance of active participation in various clubs and cells as a means of developing teamwork, communication and leadership skills. She encouraged the students to uphold the values of the institution and extend their efforts towards meaningful service to society.
Aiswarya Guptha, Founder, Wondr Diamonds, Coimbatore, was the Chief Guest of the inaugural function. Sharing her entrepreneurial journey, she encouraged the students to make full use of the industry exposure and experiential learning opportunities provided by Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies.
She highlighted that active participation in academic, co-curricular and extracurricular activities would contribute significantly to students’ professional growth and career development.
She advised the students to remain committed to the career they choose and to give themselves sufficient time to establish and excel in their chosen field. She emphasised the importance of patience, perseverance and the ability to accept failures as valuable learning experiences.
According to her, sustained success requires continuous learning and the willingness to overcome setbacks. She also encouraged the students to focus not merely on personal career growth but also on the contribution they can make to their organisation, as meaningful contribution plays an important role in long-term professional success.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Chandru, Chairman of the CAMBISTA Students’ Association.
