Air India Express, the low-cost carrier of the Air India Group is all set to start providing 2 daily flight services to Mumbai from Coimbatore in just 3 days.

The first flight (IX 1793) leaves Mumbai at 5.25 a.m. and reaches Coimbatore at 7.20 a.m. The returning flight (IX 1794) leaves Coimbatore at 7.50 a.m. and reaches Mumbai at 10 a.m.

The second flight (IX 1795) leaves Mumbai at 7.55 p.m. and reaches Coimbatore at 9.50 p.m. The returning flight (IX 1796) leaves Coimbatore 10.20 p.m. and reaches Mumbai at 12.40 p.m. The services will take off on September 1st. The new Coimbatore–Mumbai service will operate from Mumbai’s Terminal 2 and replace the existing Air India service.

Air India Express currently operates a fleet of more than 100 aircraft, connecting 60+ destinations through 3,500+ weekly departures across 180+ routes, including several destinations in India, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

It is in plans to add 50+ aircrafts to its fleet over the next 1.5 years, and this will enable the airline to expand its network and introduce more services.

Coimbatore NXT welcomed the launch of Air India Express services from Coimbatore. Its Aviation Task Force in the recent meeting has placed on record with the Air India Express management the need to introduce direct services from Coimbatore to Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai.
