CMS College of Science and Commerce and CMS B-Schools celebrated the 80th Independence Day today.
Sreedevi Narayanan, Managing Trustee of the CMS Educational and Charitable Trust, hoisted the national flag, while Chandrakumar, Secretary of the Trust, delivered the Independence Day message.
Earlier, Vimalanand, Principal, CMS College of Science and Commerce, welcomed the gathering. The occasion, marking 79 years of India’s independence, paid tribute to the valiant efforts and sacrifices of the freedom fighters.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished office-bearers of the CMS Trust, including Gereesan, Chairman; Vijayakumar, Treasurer; Annapoorni, Principal, CMS Academy of Management and Technology; Mohammed Ali, Principal, CMS Institute of Management Studies; Salini, Vice Principal – Academic; Sujatha, Vice Principal – Administration; and Balachander, Controller of Examinations, CMS College of Science and Commerce. Several managing trustees also graced the occasion.
College NCC cadets presented an impressive parade as part of the celebrations. The event concluded with the distribution of sweets.
