Every graduate has a vital role in nation-building
-Vasuki, Secretary and Director, KASC

Vasuki, in her address, said that today is a day for the graduates to celebrate their perseverance, discipline, dreams, and transformation. “Behind every degree lies a story of late nights, early mornings, assignments, failures, recovery, friendship, and the sacrifices made by both students and their parents,” she said.

She stated that a nation develops not only through resources but also through enlightened citizens. “When India rises, the entire world will benefit,” she added.

Emphasising the responsibility of students, she said that every graduate has a vital role in nation-building through the wisdom gained from education and urged them to contribute towards building a “Viksit Bharat”.

Speaking about success, she said that success is not merely about creating wealth, but about creating values and ensuring the collective upliftment of society. “True success is measured not only by career growth, but also by character,” she noted.
Stressing the importance of self-reliance and sustainability, she said that many current global challenges could be addressed through these principles.

Further, she said that India has the potential not only to emerge as a global economic leader, but also as a “Vishwaguru” and a guide to humanity. For India to become a Vishwaguru, she said, the country must build institutions that combine scientific excellence with ethical consciousness.

She added that graduates should become technologically competent, emotionally balanced, socially responsible, environmentally sensitive, and spiritually grounded.

“You are not only graduates, but also the architects of the future. With education, you have the responsibility to build society,” she concluded.

One cannot succeed alone

-Krishnan, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Tamil Nadu

Chief Guest Krishnan, while delivering the Graduation Day address, emphasised that one’s origin is not important, but where one aspires to reach in life truly matters.

Addressing the graduates, he highlighted three important pillars that every student should always remember throughout life — their college, teachers, and parents — as they play a vital role in shaping one’s future and success.

Speaking about parental sacrifices, he said that parents sacrifice their happiness for the well-being of their children. He urged the students to respect and treat their parents like God throughout their lives.

He remarked that higher education is not merely meant for earning money, but for creating responsible citizens who contribute meaningfully to society. He stressed that every innovation and advancement achieved through higher education should ultimately benefit humanity and society at large.

Further, he encouraged the graduates to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to society and to be willing to make sacrifices for the welfare and progress of the community.

Krishnan appreciated Vasuki and the management for giving equal importance to sports and for providing educational opportunities to transgender students, thereby promoting equality, dignity, and social justice.

Stressing the importance of networking and collaboration, he said that teamwork is essential for societal development. “One cannot succeed alone; collaboration and sustainability are needed for progress,” he noted.

He further stated that education, along with hard work, uniqueness, and integrity, leads to success.
Concluding his address, Krishnan shared that he would be retiring on June 11, 2026, at the age of 70, and expressed his happiness and pride in being part of the 19th Graduation Day celebration.
