Students of Rathinam College of Arts and Science recently organised a voter awareness campaign ahead of the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, reaching thousands through creative public engagement.

The campaign, conducted both on campus and in surrounding public spaces, featured students using face painting as a powerful communication tool to convey key democratic messages.

Slogans such as “My Vote, My Right,” “Vote for the Nation,” “100% Polling,” and “My Vote is Not for Sale” were artistically displayed, drawing significant public attention.

Adding a visual highlight, students also incorporated creative costume elements, including symbolic representations, to reinforce the importance of voting as a national responsibility.

The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation and received an overwhelming response from students, the general public, IT park employees, faculty, and campus workers. The campaign directly engaged over 10,000 individuals, creating meaningful awareness about the importance of exercising the right to vote.

Extending its reach beyond physical engagement, the campaign gained strong traction on digital platforms. Students actively promoted the initiative through social media and WhatsApp status updates, amplifying the message to over one lakh people.

The institution emphasised that such initiatives are part of its commitment to social responsibility and civic engagement, encouraging youth to actively participate in the democratic process.

The campaign stands as a testament to how innovative student-led initiatives can effectively bridge awareness gaps and inspire responsible citizenship.
