The Vedapatashala, a Vedic School located within the Sri Annapoorneshwari Temple, organised a felicitation ceremony to honour outstanding contributions to society.
The honorees included Pradeep Sharma, Agnihotri, Matturu, Shimoga District, Karnataka; Matrushree Ananthalakshmi, Co-founder of the Anaadi Foundation; Vimal, Founder of Reclaim Temples; and Sivaganesh, Guardian of the Velliangiri Gaushala and Managing Director of Shree Devi Textiles.
Pradeep Sharma is an accomplished scholar of Rigveda, Shrouta, Vedanta, Vyakarana, and Dharmashastra, under the tutelage of Advayanandendra Saraswati Swamiji, Aksharanandendra Saraswati Swamiji, Keshava Avadhani, and Venkatesh Avadhani.
Since 2016, he has been performing Agnihotra, Darshapurnamasa Ishtis, and Chaturmasya Yagas, participating actively in Vedanta and Shrouta Vidvat Goshtis.
He has also been involved in significant Shrouta Yagnas such as Somayaga, Vajapeya Yaga, and Cayana. Apart from his ritualistic duties, he passionately imparts knowledge on Shankara’s Advaita Tattva, offering online teachings to students.
Matrushree Ananthalakshmi is the is a visionary educator dedicated to youth development, leadership, well-being, and inner transformation. Her foundation merges ancient wisdom with scientific understanding, offering educational programs, spiritual retreats, and ecological initiatives that nurture emotionally resilient and culturally grounded citizens of tomorrow.
Vimal is a steadfast champion of cultural preservation. His work involves restoring ancient temples, reclaiming heritage sites, and reviving pride in Bharat’s civilizational legacy. Through his mission, forgotten shrines and neglected sculptures have been restored, inspiring countless volunteers to protect and preserve Dharma in both its physical and spiritual forms.
Sivaganesh has demonstrated extraordinary dedication to Gau Samrakshana (cow protection) by establishing the Velliangiri Gaushala at the foothills of the sacred Velliangiri Hills. His sanctuary has rescued thousands of cows and bulls from slaughterhouses, providing them a life of dignity and care, thereby upholding the ancient Sanatana Dharma values that revere the cow.
The event was attended by over 300 devotees and Vedic students.
