With India facing growing concerns over antimicrobial resistance and infection-related complications, Royal Care Super Speciality Hospital introduces Plasma Shield, a novel approach designed to drastically reduce the pathogenic microbial load through continuous real-time disinfection.

It has been deployed in collaboration with Eta Purification, an innovative technology company supported by the Government of India.

By this pioneer, the hospital has become the first in the country to implement a cutting-edge innovation in infection control within healthcare settings. This move places the Hospital at the forefront of a national healthcare revolution.

This real-time infection control system integrates state-of-the-art plasma technology to create a smarter, more proactive infection control environment.

Dr. K. Madeswaran, Chairman and Managing Director of Royal Care Super Speciality Hospital, stated, “We are proud to be the first in the nation to introduce this initiative to ensure that our patients receive the very best in healthcare.”

“Preventing infections is the cornerstone of patient safety, and we are proud to lead the way with this state-of-the-art solution. Being the first hospital in Tamil Nadu (outside of Chennai) to have received the Gold Seal JCI accreditation, this initiative is a testament to our commitment to excellence and innovation in patient care,” he added.

Moreover, Dr. K. Madeswaran said, this first-of-its-kind implementation is expected to benefit thousands of patients and may serve as a model for replication across the country. This is a landmark moment not just for our hospital but for Indian healthcare as a whole.
