PSG College of Technology recently inaugurated its ‘Yoga Training Classes’ as part of the mandatory Yoga and Physical Wellness course for first-year students.

Around 300 students from five departments participated in the programme.

The programme was attended by Chandramohan, Secretary; Thilagavathi, Principal (FAC); Sridevi, Vice Principal (Women Welfare); Vaideki, Dean, Autonomous Functioning; and Vinod, HoD, Department of Robotics & Automation Engineering, along with several class tutors.

Somasundaramoorthy, Physical Director, PSG Tech, highlighted the rich heritage of Yoga, its global evolution and its significance as a way of life.

He also acknowledged the institution’s efforts in introducing the course as part of the academic regulations.

Yoga Masters Jeyalakshmi and Mohanraj, Founders of Kovai Prana Yoga Centre, led the students through Suryanamaskar, asanas, pranayama and relaxation exercises, promoting physical wellness and mindful living.
