PSG College of Technology celebrated its 75th Foundation Day by honouring five of its distinguished alumni with the PSG Tech Distinguished Alumni Award today.
The chief guest, Kris Gopalakrishnan, Co-Founder of Infosys, presented the awards along with L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, PSG & Sons’ Charities, who presided over the event and delivered the presidential address. G.R.Karthikeyan, Chairman, PSG & Sons’ Charities, congratulated the awardees.
Thilagavathi, Principal of the college, delivered the welcome address. She highlighted PSG Tech’s achievements, the services rendered by the PSG Trust, and the significant contributions of its alumni.
The awardees were honoured for their outstanding contributions to society and their respective fields, making a significant impact on industry and society.
The five awardees were: Surya Prakash Kolluri (B.E. Mechanical Engineering, 1986), Head – TIAA Institute, Boston, USA; Savithri Seetharaman (B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering, 1989), Vice President – Texas Instruments, Bengaluru; Girish Ramachandran (B.Sc. Computer Technology, 1991), President – Growth Markets, Tata Consultancy Services, Singapore; Babu Krishnasamy (B.E. Metallurgical Engineering, 1993), President/CEO – KANINI, Nashville, USA; and Sivagnanam (B.E. Civil Engineering, 1995), Commissioner – Disaster Management, Government of Tamil Nadu.
During the event, the Platinum Jubilee Souvenir of the college was released by the chief guest, Kris Gopalakrishnan. The first copy was received by G. R. Karthikeyan, Chairman of the PSG Trust.
Heads, deans and principals of PSG institutions, faculty members of PSG Tech, and alumni graced the occasion and congratulated the awardees.
