Thabitha, a II BA History student at Nirmala College for Women, brought immense pride to the institution by winning a silver medal in the Women’s Junior Keirin category at the Track Cycling Asia Cup 2026, held in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday, representing India.

Winning a silver medal in the Women’s Junior Keirin category at the international level is a testament to Thabitha’s exceptional talent, hard work, discipline and determination.

The college appreciated Thabitha, her coach, and Sreemathi, Physical Director, for their dedicated efforts and constant support in nurturing the young sporting talent.

“From the classrooms of Nirmala to the international podium, Thabitha has made us proud. May this silver medal be the beginning of many more glorious victories for her and for our nation,” the college said in a press release.
