Nirmala College for Women etched its name in the record books with a spectacular New Nobel World Record, turning talent, creativity and professional skill into a moment of historic achievement.
The college set the record by bringing together participants who simultaneously showcased their expertise in Bridal Makeup, Bridal Mehendi, Nail Art, and saree pre-pleating. In a stunning display of creativity, precision, speed and professional competence, the record attempt was completed within 1 hour and 30 minutes, earning Nirmala College for Women an official place in the Nobel World Records Registry under Record No. NWR/2026/P2/2019.
The landmark feat was accomplished during the Talent Fest and Nobel World Record held on Sunday at the College.
Organised by the Department of Costume Design and Fashion and the Fine Arts Association, in association with the Indian Makeup Artists Federation (IMAF) and San Signature, the event celebrated the powerful message “Education and Skills Build a Strong Woman.”
The campus witnessed an extraordinary display of talent as participants simultaneously showcased their expertise in the four skill areas, highlighting creativity, professional competence and the importance of skill-based education.
The prestigious occasion was graced by Aravind Lakshmi Narayanan, International President, International Fashion Alliance (IFA); Chairman, World Fashion University, Uganda; and National President, Indian Hair & Wig Federation, whose presence added distinction to the historic celebration.
Adding an international dimension to the event was Noor Ashikin Beeti Binti Abdul Rashid, International Make-Up Artist & Hairstylist, Malaysia, who addressed the International Seminar organised as part of the programme. Her interaction offered students valuable exposure to global perspectives and professional opportunities in the beauty, makeup and fashion industries.
“The achievement goes far beyond a record. It represents Nirmala’s vision of transforming education into meaningful skill, talent into opportunity and young women into confident professionals. The event brought together experiential learning, creativity, employability, entrepreneurship and women empowerment on one remarkable platform,” the college noted in a press release.
The successful record attempt culminated in the presentation of the Nobel World Records certificate and medals, marking a moment of immense pride for the institution and its students.
