Nehru Institute of Technology (Nehru IT) welcomed the new batch of students to the college by organizing an inaugural ceremony for them recently.
Renowned orator Jayanthasri Balakrishnan was the Chief Guest of the ceremony. Venkateswaran Loganathan, Sr.Director – Engineering, Conversight AI took part as the Guest of Honor.
Krishnakumar, CEO of Nehru Group of Institutions (NGI) presided over the ceremony. Nagaraja, Executive Director, NGI; Chaitanya Krishnakumar, Correspondent, Nehru International School and Sivaraja, Principal, Nehru IT attended the inaugural. The function was attended by a large gathering of parents and students.
Jayanthasri in her speech remarked that a student’s life is like a chariot, which can reach great heights only when parents pull one rope and teachers pull the other, working together. She added that a person’s thoughts are what ultimately define who they are.
Venkateswaran, in his address, said that if AI technology is used the right way, it can pave the way for solid employment opportunities.
At the event, Heads of Departments Parimala Gandhi and Jayaprakash introduced the other department heads and centre heads to the freshers. Earlier, sophomores welcomed the freshmen with flower bouquets.
