Every year, Kumaraguru Institutions confers the Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam Award on eminent individuals who have made a significant impact on society.
This year, the award was conferred on Abhay Firodia, Chairman of Force Motors, in recognition of his pioneering contributions to India’s automotive industry and his efforts in enriching the nation’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
The award ceremony was held on 12th June 2025 at the Ramanandha Adigalar Auditorium, Kumaraguru Campus.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, C.P. Radhakrishnan, Governor of Maharashtra, who presented the award to Abhay Firodia.
Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, Chairman of the Institution, presided over the event and delivered the presidential address, while Shankar Vanavarayar, President of the Institution, welcomed the gathering.

Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam Award has been instituted in his honour to recognise the accomplishments of eminent individuals who have made a significant impact in the community and have fostered outstanding growth in the national, industrial, social, cultural and other aspects that were associated with Arutchelvar Ayya’s vision, work and life.
The award honours personalities who have been instrumental in leading the change and implementing a dynamic vision for building a greater and stronger India.
