Fn: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board, during its meeting held on Tuesday at Annamayya Bhavan in Tirumala under the chairmanship of TTD Chairman Bollineni Rajagopala Naidu, approved the acquisition of 19.43 acres of land, worth 388 crores, donated by G Square Group for the construction of a new TTD temple in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

The approval marks a significant step in Devasthanam’s ongoing efforts to expand its spiritual and religious outreach across the country and strengthen access to devotional infrastructure for devotees outside Andhra Pradesh.

The land, located at G Square Seven Hills City, Kovaipudur, Coimbatore, has been voluntarily contributed by G Square Group to support the development of the proposed temple.

The Trust Board approved the merger of the donated land with TTD assets and confirmed that further steps towards planning and development of the temple will commence in the coming months.

The proposed temple is expected to emerge as a major spiritual centre for devotees in western Tamil Nadu and further strengthen Devasthanam’s outreach initiatives beyond Andhra Pradesh.

The initiative is also expected to improve accessibility for devotees seeking TTD temple services and spiritual activities closer to their hometowns.

During the meeting, the Board also approved several key initiatives, including the launch of the “Akshara Govindam” programme for children, construction of a permanent Yagasala at Alipiri, expansion of educational infrastructure, and development of new temples across multiple states.
