The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) will organise Coimbatore’s biggest conclave, “Cool Conclave 3.0,” from August 20 to 22, 2026, at Merlis Hotel, Coimbatore.
The announcement was made at a press meet held at the hotel on Wednesday.
The conclave will bring together environmental professionals, national and international speakers, and industry leaders to discuss decarbonisation, energy efficiency, sustainable HVAC&R technologies, and India’s net-zero goals.
Saravanan, President, ISHRAE, spoke about the organisation and its objectives. Pradeep Kumar, President, ISHRAE Coimbatore Chapter, delivered the welcome address.
Subramanian, Event Chairman, said that the world is currently facing the serious challenge of global warming and that the environment is being severely affected. He said the conclave was being organised to contribute to environmental protection and support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of achieving net-zero emissions by 2070.
He said this is the third edition of the conclave, with the first two editions having been held in Jaipur and Indore, respectively.
“Through this conference, we will share energy-efficient solutions that can be adopted from homes to industries.
Speakers from India and abroad will share ideas and methods to reduce carbon emissions and promote sustainable solutions,” he said.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Tamil Nadu Green Climate Company (TNGCC) will be the special guest at the event.
The conclave will also discuss sustainable construction practices, including the selection of appropriate materials for buildings, along with sustainable infrastructure and practices that can be adopted in homes, schools, colleges and industries. Eminent speakers will deliberate on these aspects.
Selvarasu, Technical Chair of the conference, said the conclave will feature technical sessions, panel discussions and paper presentations.
Around 85 to 90 industries are expected to participate in the event, while nearly 60 speakers, with 20 to 30 years of experience, will share their insights.
A key highlight of the conclave will be the Decarbonisation Excellence Awards, which will recognise organisations for their contributions towards creating a sustainable, energy-efficient and climate-resilient built environment.
The event will also showcase key initiatives and collaborations focused on practical solutions for India’s transition towards a low-carbon and net-zero future.
Books related to decarbonisation will also be released during the conclave, Selvarasu said.
On Friday, Padma Shri Dr. G. Bakthavathsalam, Chairman of KG Hospital, Coimbatore, will be among the speakers.
Shesadari, a senior official of ISHRAE, spoke about how common people can reduce carbon emissions through their day-to-day practices. He also highlighted an ISHRAE initiative under which a school in a tribal village in Coimbatore, which did not have access to electricity, was provided with renewable-energy-based power.
Cool Conclave 3.0 is expected to serve as a platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange and collaboration on the future of the built environment.
