The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Coimbatore, on behalf of its members, the region’s innovative entrepreneurs, welcomes the historic India-UK Free Trade Agreement as a transformative step toward deepening bilateral economic ties.

Rajesh B Lund, President of ICCI Coimbatore, said that this landmark deal opens new avenues for trade, investment, and cross-sector collaboration, particularly benefiting industries and exporters in Tamil Nadu.

“We believe this agreement will enhance competitiveness, spur innovation, and create new opportunities for businesses in Coimbatore to thrive on the global stage,” he added.

The President further emphasised that India and the UK have agreed to a trade deal that makes it cheaper and easier to buy and sell goods and services between the two nations.

He also mentioned that the agreement is expected to benefit the economies of both countries. In India, consumers may enjoy greater variety and affordability in goods included under the agreement.

Moreover, Rajesh B Lund stated, “We commend the efforts of both governments in bringing this vision to fruition and look forward to supporting our members in leveraging the full potential of this partnership.”
