Hindusthan College of Health Sciences recently organised an “Anti-Drug Awareness Programme” under the theme “Say No to Drugs” and the tagline “The More You Know, the Less You Risk.”
The main objective of the programme was to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encourage them to lead healthy, disciplined and drug-free lives.
To make the message more impactful and student-centric, the college conducted three creative competitions — slogan writing, poster making and a quiz. Students from various departments participated in the competitions with great enthusiasm.
Through their slogans and posters, students conveyed strong social messages such as “NO DRUGS,” “BE SMART, DON’T START,” and “CHOOSE LIFE, NOT DRUGS.”
Addressing the gathering, the programme coordinators emphasised that awareness and education are among the most powerful tools to combat drug abuse. Students were encouraged to become ambassadors of change and spread the message of a drug-free society in their homes and communities.
The programme concluded with all participants taking a pledge to stay away from drugs and motivate others to do the same. The winners of the competitions were also felicitated with prizes.
