The Department of English at Hindusthan College of Arts and Science conducted the district-level inter-school competition “Brain Wave – Challenges for the Young Mind” on 15th October 2025.
A total of 165 students from various schools across the district participated in the event.
The programme featured a series of on-stage events such as Elocution, Narrate a Story, Block and Tackle, Dumb Charades and Quiz, which showcased the participants’ confidence, presence of mind and communication skills.
Off-stage events, included Essay Writing, Pencil Sketching and Poem Composing highlighted their creativity and literary talent.
The competitions were conducted in a lively and encouraging atmosphere and received excellent response from students and teachers.
Attractive prizes and trophies were awarded to the winners, motivating young minds to strive for excellence.
The event was coordinated by Priya Sharon Thomas, Convenor under the guidance of Ponnusamy, Principal.
