Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology, in collaboration with Autosports India, hosted the Mega Championship Events recently.
The event was inaugurated by R. Sundar, Managing Trustee, SNR Sons Charitable Trust, and Maheshkumar, CAO of the Trust, in the esteemed presence of David Rathnaraj, Principal of the institute and Ajith Pande, Founder of Autosports India.
The event brought together engineering minds and racing enthusiasts from across the nation for a one-of-a-kind motorsports and technical challenge experience. More than 1000 students from over 40 engineering institutions participated.
Renowned institutions like BITS Pilani – Goa Campus, VIT Bhopal, College of Engineering Guindy (CEG), Chennai, and many more showcased their best teams.
The cash prizes totalling ₹10 Lakhs were awarded across multiple competitive categories, including: Best Innovation, Best Design, Fastest Lap, Best Acceleration, Skid Pad Winner, Autocross Champion, Endurance Champion, Best Electric Vehicle (Kart/ATV/E-Bike), Best Business Presentation and Overall Champion – Team of the Event.
The event witnessed competition in three main categories:
- Mega Karting Championship (IC & Electric)
- Mega ATV Championship (IC & Electric)
- Mega E-Bike Championship (up to 2000W)
