Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology (HICET), Coimbatore, has been recognized as an official test centre for conducting the NISM Series V-A: Mutual Fund Distributors Certification Examination, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s continued efforts to promote financial literacy, professional competence, and industry-oriented learning among students.
As part of the NISM–SBI CSR Project, the first examination slot under this initiative was successfully scheduled and conducted at HICET.
Under the project, 30 students have appeared for the examination NISM – Mutual Fund Distributors Examination on 7th October 2026 and received sponsorship of Rs.1500/- towards the examination fees enabling them to pursue professional certification in the mutual fund distribution domain.
The inaugural session of the examination initiative was presided over by Jaya, Principal, HICET along with the respective Deans and NISM Coordinators of the institution.
Kaarthiekheyan, Head – MBA emphasized the importance of equipping students with contemporary financial knowledge and recognized professional certifications that enhance their employability and career readiness.
The recognition of HICET as an official NISM test centre has been facilitated through the NISM–HEI (Higher Education Institution) Partner Institution arrangement.
It acknowledges the institution’s active engagement in promoting financial literacy, student participation, professional certification, and industry-relevant learning initiatives.
