The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Dr. NGP Institute of Technology (NGPiTech) recently inaugurated the Association of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (ELECTROZ), the IEEE Student Branch, and the IAEMP Student Chapter for the academic year 2026–2027.
Prabha, Principal of the institution, presided over the function and encouraged students to actively participate in professional societies to enhance their technical knowledge, leadership skills, and career development.
The programme was graced by Karunamoorthy Neethimani, Managing Director of Windplus, Coimbatore, as the Chief Guest, and Esther Issac, Advisor – Learning and System Development, Windplus, as the Guest of Honour.
In their special addresses, the dignitaries emphasised the importance of innovation, industry readiness, continuous learning, and professional ethics for aspiring engineers.
The programme was convened by Pandiyan, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and coordinated by Ramash Kumar, Professor; Senthilnathan, Associate Professor; and Mano Jemila, Assistant Professor.
The newly elected office bearers of ELECTROZ, the IEEE Student Branch, and the IAEMP Student Chapter pledged to organise a wide range of technical and professional activities during the academic year.
