Addressing the graduates, Balasubramaniam said that students today are very much fascinated in getting an offer from a Global Capability Center (GCC) rather than from a typical software company, as getting into a GCC is seen a big opportunity.

He said Coimbatore is one of the most wanted, appreciated, and vibrant ecosystems in the world for a Tier 2 GCC ecosystem. A lot of technology companies are coming here, so students should be very vibrant and make use of the opportunity.
He further stated that in the field of IT and technology, success requires a mindset of interdisciplinary adaptiveness. He opined that the previous siloed approach is no longer effective in today’s scenario, hence in order to thrive, a professional must have an interdisciplinary and adaptive mindset.
