It has been several months since the GD Naidu Flyover, covering a massive 10.1 km stretch of Avinashi Road, got opened for public usage.

A few scenes at the flyover really raises a few questions among motorists. For instance, a well slant traffic signboard remains in that position for quite some time, now. It raises the question, “is this slant board a safety-hazard?”.

Remember the hit and run case that happened at the flyover in March this year?. An elderly woman who was not supposed to walk at the flyover, did exactly that and got hit by a fast-moving bike. Likewise, a man was recently seen at the flyover collecting garbage while traffic was heavy. He did not wear any reflective collars nor did he wear any i.d. of any sorts. “Is this allowed?”

If you expect the traffic movement on ramps or on the main carriageway to be smooth, think again because a few vehicles that unfortunately experience flat-tyre or low fuel might struggle to come down, hence caution is always needed.

The possibility of such scenarios one may not expect is many. Hence it is vital that motorists do not exceed the allowed speed limit.
