To raise awareness against the illegal and inhumane caging of wild parakeets, Animal Rescuers, an animal welfare organisation, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Forest Department (Coimbatore Division) and the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Cotton City, made a record-setting attempt to enter the Asia Book of Records. The record attempt was made under the “Born to Fly” campaign by creating the largest cereal grain artwork in the shape of a parrot. A total of 900 kilograms of grains were used to bring the artwork. This attempt took place at Prozone Mall, Coimbatore, on May 22, 2025.
